Arts Umbrella's program is designed from a fine arts perspective. All classes are taught by accomplished artists and experienced teachers and provide an encouraging and supportive environment for youth and teens to develop their visual and creative skills. Students are encouraged to “repeat” classes they enjoy to progress further within that discipline..
WE WILL GLADY REFUND CLASS TUITION IF WE DO NOT HAVE A MINIMUM OF FOUR STUDENTS

All of our teachers are fully vaccinated. Masks are optional. AU is cleaned thoroughly each week. Parents please wait for your artist outside of class.

~Classes fill up quickly, signing up soon, can secure your place in a camp~
*Please inform the instructors of any need for accommodations for students with disabilities. The instructor may inform parents of behaviors that are affecting others, the instructor will notify the parent, and may ask that the student not join in for the rest of the week. Classes not taken due to this, will be refunded with a 25% fee loss (due to teachers planning for projects and time). Our goal is to provide a safe and relaxing experience for each young artist to express, and create in a positive environment. ~ Aquatic Adventures ~
Dive into the deep blue sea and be the many creatures of the underwater world. Our inspiration will come from creatures like the octopus, orca whale, crab, deep sea fish and fantasy creatures like mermaids. The ocean will be explored from its shores to its depths using an array of art making techniques that includes drawing, painting, printmaking and three-dimensional art.

~CREATE a Board Game!~
GAMES! We all have had fun playing and interacting with our friends playing board games. This class is a fun way to stimulate your imagination as we explore ideas to make a game that is uniquely yours. Tapping into a variety of multimedia and skills, drawing, painting, sculpting to bring your game idea to fruition. Exploring well loved games to find what makes them exciting, then applying those ideas and an artist imagination to creating your own.

~Magic of Hogwarts~
Welcome to the world of Harry Potter’s Hogwarts! Amazing characters and the objects around them will be explored. Taking inspiration from the Magical world of Harry Potter, with emerging drawing skills at the heart of this workshop, the artist can use their imagination and a variety of art media to create finished pieces to be proud of.

Step into a world where the impossible becomes possible. In this fun and silly class , young artists will dive into the wildly imaginative world of their imagination Artists can unleash their creative selves using a variety of mediums including drawing, painting, and sculpting. This class will encourage students to think outside the box creating wacky and wonderful art that bends reality. ~ Pokemon and Friends ~
Learn how to draw your favorite Pokemon characters while unleashing your creativity to create new characters. This is a great way to experiment with emerging drawing skills, focusing on basic shapes and form while enhancing motor skills and creativity. This workshop will use a variety of different art media to explore this long time beloved character and his friends.

~ Magical Creatures ~
This class will look at the world of magic by creating mythical creatures and bringing imaginary characters to life. Explore the legends of unicorns, griffins, mermaids, dragons and the Sasquatch of the Northwest. We’ll use an array of art making techniques to include drawing, painting, printmaking and three-dimensional art.

This workshop students will be exploring acrylic painting, along with painting techniques, how to work the color wheel, mix color, and work with the value scale. Students will use drawing and composition skills while exploring the world of acrylic paint, to create pieces to be proud of. All skill levels are welcome.
